In 2003, Helena founded the production company Hepp Films. She managed Hepp for over a decade, producing over 25 titles including Svinalängorna (Beyond), a Scandinavian box office hit that was sold to many markets and prized worldwide. Honors include the 2010 Venice Critics´ Week prize, the Nordic Film Prize, and eight Guldbagge nominations including Best Film.

In 2012, Helena won the Prix Eurimages (European Film Academy Award) for her role in shaping the European co-production industry. She was short-listed for The 85th Academy Awards, and nominated for an International Emmy in 2007 for the feature-length doc Smiling in a Warzone. In 2017, She was nominated for an American Independent Spirit Award for her work on The Childhood of a Leader, which also won the Debut Lion and Best Director awards at Venice 2015. 

Before becoming a partner at Brain Academy in 2014, Helena Helena served as Consulting International Executive Producer for SF Studios and Tre Vänner Productions for three years.
